It is the "Psychology of Intelligence Analysis" and deals with the topic in a straightforward, no-nonsense way and avoids jargon.

Making the case for a dedicated Design war room…

As you can see, I am seeding this blog with a few posts to encourage HFES ITG members to ask questions, post ideas etc. Could be about anything. So if you get tired of seeing my bland posts, please free to jump in and say so...besides, I hate talking to myself.

Anyway.. this question is one I would appreciate input on...I am in the process of creating a business case for a dedicated war room for UI designers in my group to have a permanent place to post their design concepts for review - by peers and project team members. Also to serve as a place for informal usability evaluations, heuristic reviews, cognitive walkthroughs, brainstorming etc.

Of course, I'm trying to set it up on the cheap, so it does not become a departmental white elephant. Any suggestions on what I should have in there to encourage free exchange of ideas?

Note: The good ol' standby of alcoholic beverages is frowned upon :)

Research on Web-based applicatons

Does anyone know the names of individual researchers who are doing cool work in web-based applications and in other related areas? If you know the organization they are in, that would be great. I will look forward to hearing from the group. I think there may be some opportunities to invite them to my company to speak, or perhaps even consult.
